Dear Fellow Gambians,

I have the honour to inform you that Gambians have chosen His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh as their leader for the next five years by giving him 73.82%, in the November 24th polls.

As announced by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Chairman, Mr Alhagie Mustapha Carayol, President Jammeh emerged winner against his two other opponents, Independent Candidate, Hamat M.K Bah and Lawyer Ousainou Darboe of the UPD.
