The Gambia has reciprocal arrangements with manycountries, either on bilateral agreements or through membership of certain
organizations, whereby citizens of those countries do not require a visa for a
period of stay of less than three months. These include the member countries of
ECOWAS,all Commonwealth countries, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands,
Norway, Sweden, Greece, Italy, Iceland, Germany, San Marino and ROC (Taiwan).
Nationals of other countries - including Croatia,Hungary, Slovakia, Czech
Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia-Montenegro, Albania, Moldova -
should apply for a visa to the Gambian Consulate in Budapest. All
visitors must be in possession of a passport which is valid for at least 6
months beyond intended departure date from The Gambia and valid return ticket. Entry into The Gambia will be permitted for a maximum period of 30 days.
Extension is possible on application to immigration authorities in Banjul.
- Submit your valid passport, must have at least 6 months remaining
- Visa Application Form, fully completed and signed (donwload the form in pdf. format)
- Passport-type photograph
- Copy of return or onward tickets or travel agency/airline itinerary
